SIX Architecture and Design Ltd
Kris began his architectural career in 1995 and has developed an extensive portfolio at practices such as Bond Bryan Architects and Atkins Consultants.
This experience, in addition to a thorough technical knowledge gained while working for smaller practices, allowed Kris to develop expertise in design, leadership and project management.
Kris formed SIX AD in July 2009.
Verity studied English Language and Linguistics at York University, and has a background in special needs education and teaching adult learners. She took a planned career break in 2002 to become a full time mum, and in 2009 came back to work in a new and challenging profession, taking over the day-to-day running of the practice. Verity was instrumental in the formation SIX AD.
Verity’s interpersonal and administrative skills make her a great point of liaison for clients and design teams. She oversees SIX AD marketing, accounts and helps in planning business development, as well as contract and tender administration. She also enjoys the opportunities for assisting in the more ‘hands on’ practical project requirements, including assisting with site surveys when required. Verity was instrumental in the formation of SIX AD, and has been involved ever since.
"Witnessing the amount of detail and skill that goes into a project, I've gained a huge amount of respect for the whole multi-disciplinary team involved in the process, architect through to builder. However, the best bit of the job is seeing the positive impact that good design has on the end user - homes working better for families and improved living spaces for those fortunate people who go about their daily lives in them."
