If you’ve got a large garden (front or back) and you want it to work… be practical and have a really good balance between hard and soft landscaping. Then you’ve got to read this.
You see, gardens provide much more than a place to sit when the sun shines.
Let me explain that.
HOW THEIR DREAM BECAME A REALITY
If you’ve downsized your house in recent years you’ll have lost a lot of storage space, room to have guests over, and feel a little on top of each other… or maybe it’s just time to create the outside features that will let you enjoy living life outdoors a little more?
So a garden can be that extra space your home needs. Using clever storage spaces under decked areas or pull out seats built into walling are just some of the creative ideas we have.
AND it’s ridiculously easy to get started on your ‘dream vision’ for the garden.
We have one rule; before you dismiss anything let’s look at what you want ideally and then if, and it’s a very big if, we don’t think it will work we’ll find a way to get it to you. The only time we’ll suggest alternatives is if we think there’s no benefit to you having it.
Then you need to give us a real understanding of how much you want to use the space… so we can work hard on planning the structural hard standings and the softer features like your shrubs and plants… including the colours, variety through the seasons, trees etc.
That’s the hard part. The simple task then is dividing your landscape design into three parts;
Soft landscaping because you need to consider the lawn shapes and size… what grass type… how much exposure your planting gets (or doesn’t get) to sunlight… what shrubs and trees best fit your own ‘mini micro climate’… how much maintenance you would like…how you’ll water the plants… whether growing vegetables fits within the design, and, and, and…
Finishing the garden because as we’ve already discussed you need lighting, storage space and utility areas. Maybe there’s something else you’ve always wanted? Swimming pool… Hot tub… Sauna… Office or study… So lot’s to work on to get the ‘bespoke finish’ for your garden.
I’m sure you have a few more questions like; how long does it take to build… what will I need to invest… that type of thing… so pick up the phone now and give me a call on
PS We’re never too busy to answer the phone, call you back, or talk to you… it’s our pleasure to help you achieve a stunning outdoor space. In fact we’re still booking garden consultations for this summer (although the space is limited) so pick up the phone and give us a call today so you don’t miss out on having your garden built before the sun shines.
