Katherine Roper Landscape & Garden Design
My specialised and practical knowledge of art, design and horticulture enables me to deliver a professional and inspirational garden design service. Whilst working my apprenticeship with Anthony Paul in 2003; one of the UK’s most influential contemporary garden designers I qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Residential Landscape Design from the Oxford College of Garden Design. I was subsequently employed by a leading Design/Build practice in London. In 2006, I happily returned to the West Country to set up my own design practice in Bristol. I am a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, having passed the only professional adjudication process for garden designers in the UK.
After living in Chester for 20 years I decided to make the move to Bristol, a city that seemed to offer exciting opportunities for a Garden Designer. Like Katherine I too studied at the Oxford College of Garden Design and qualified with a distinction in Residential Landscape Design. I have been working with Katherine since 2012 and have taken pleasure in working on designs that clients have been delighted with. I enjoy introducing contemporary styles to existing gardens, particularly urban gardens, with a strong emphasis on design and attention to detail.
The Construction Team
I chose to work in partnership with John Fellows and Dave Kirk because they consistently demonstrate a strong work ethic, value for money and, most importantly, a quality of workmanship that I was looking for in the execution of the gardens created. They have also worked with several leading designers, including multi Award winning designer and Chelsea Gold Medal winner Andy Sturgeon. I also collaborate with a wide range of craftsmen and artists in the local area in order to create bespoke features and garden artifacts.
Together we create beautiful gardens by way of producing elegant design solutions; incorporating natural materials and constructing each element of the garden to a high standard. Whether fitting a manhole cover in a small city garden or a bespoke pergola in a large country estate our work ethic remains the same.
